Android's Latest OS - Android 4.1 - Jelly Bean

Android version 4.1 also known as Jelly Bean, is the latest version of Google’s incredibly popular mobile operating system. 


Google has made considerable changes in Android 4.0 version (Ice Cream Sandwich, (ICS)) and even before ICS gets stabillised, google is gearing up to launch the further version of android i.e. Android 4.1 - Jelly Bean.

This latest Android version brings a truckload of new features, and is promising to help noticeably improve the overall user experience. Here goes the feature list:


  1. Project Butter has brought smoother and faster feeling user interface
  2. Improved notification center with expandable and actionable notifications
  3. Updated widget behavior
  4. Improved camera and gallery apps for easy photo snapping and sharing

  15. App encryption and Smart App updates


Mobile phone companies like HTC, Samsung, Karbonn are already gearing up to release the new set of mobile phones and tablets having Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Jelly Bean is a significant update to ICS.
Jelly Bean smooths things up, cleans up a lot of bugs, brings a bit of cool new functionalities. It improves your touchscreen performance through project butter, it improves your contacts loading time, which was a major annoying bug in androidMore importantly, Jelly Bean finally gives Android the smooth feeling of its rivaling platforms.
I am desperately waiting to get my hands on a Jelly Bean device!!
